Introducing Charms: A New Way to Unlock More on Character.ai
Every day on Character.ai, millions of conversations unfold. People brainstorm ideas, build worlds, generate art, and lose themselves in stories with their favorite Characters. As the community grows, one thing has become clear: users want flexibility in choosing which premium tools to use.
Today, we’re introducing Charms, a new way for users to choose how they access the premium experiences on Character.ai.
It's easy to earn Charms simply by using Character.ai, then spend them on popular premium features when and how users want, no long-term commitment required.
Charms are rolling out now on iOS and Android, with web support coming soon.
How Charms Work
Charms are designed to feel simple, rewarding, and woven naturally into your time on Character.ai.
Earn Charms by Quests
Users can collect Charms through everyday activities like daily check-ins, starter Quests and weekly Quests. Quests offer a fun way to earn Charms without interrupting how users already use the platform.
Spend Charms on premium experiences
Once earned, Charms can be used to unlock some of our most popular features, including:
- Extra image generations with Imagine
- Boosting through slow-mode restrictions
- Ad-skip passes for uninterrupted creativity
And this is just the beginning. We’ll be expanding what you can unlock with Charms in future updates.
For users who want instant access, a Charms purchase option will be available soon. c.ai+ members will also receive a Charm bonus when they make a purchase.
Remember, we're just starting to roll out Charms and learning about what works, so how Charms can be earned and spent will likely change.
Availability
Charms are available now on iOS and Android, with web support coming soon. Users can update their app to access Charms, Quests, and their new Charms balance.
