Today, we're introducing a new set of creator-focused features designed to help creators at every stage of that journey: creating better Characters, growing their audience, and getting recognized and discovered for their work.

Character.ai is home to one of the largest creator communities in AI entertainment, with creators imagining millions of Characters across every genre, fandom, and style possible. As that community continues to grow, we've been listening closely to what creators need to create better Characters and connect with their audience.

These new features are a direct result of that feedback.

Create Better Characters

Creating memorable Characters takes experimentation, iteration, and practice.

The new Creator Guide brings together updated guidance, examples, and best practices for creating Characters. Whether you’re just getting started or refining an established favorite, it offers deeper insight into what makes Characters shine on Character.ai, particularly with our latest chat styles like PipSqueak 2 and DeepSqueak.

The Creator Guide is a living resource shaped by feedback from our creator community and the Character.ai team, and it will continue to be updated as new features and chat styles launch in the future.

We’re also refreshing the Character creation experience on mobile. The updated flow makes it easier to create, edit, and manage Characters on the go, including the ability to add and edit Character tags directly from mobile.

Together, these updates help streamline the creative process so you can spend more time creating and less time managing.

Learn What Works

The more you understand your audience, the easier it is to keep improving.

Creator Insights gives you a clearer view of how your Characters are performing, with metrics including interactions, followers, likes, discoveries, and top-performing Characters. Helpful tips on improving your Characters and improved filtering make it easier to understand what's working and identify opportunities to improve.

Whether you’re experimenting with new concepts or improving an existing Character, Creator Insights helps you understand what’s resonating with users, where new audiences are finding your work, and highlights opportunities to improve your Characters.

Grow an Audience

Character.ai has always made it easy for users to discover individual Characters.

Now we're making it easier for users to keep up with the creators behind them.

Launching very soon, the new Creator Following Tab gives users a dedicated place to browse Characters from creators they follow, making it easier for your audience to find new Characters you publish and return to the worlds they've already enjoyed.

Soon, they’ll also be able to receive notifications for new Characters. When you publish something new, your followers will hear about it.

Together, these updates give creators more opportunities to grow lasting audiences around their work, and users more ways to follow the creators they love.

Celebrate Great Work

We're also launching Creator Leaderboards, a new way to spotlight creativity across Character.ai.

The Top Creators leaderboard highlights creators whose Characters keep users coming back week after week, while Rising Creators showcases creators building momentum and reaching new audiences through consistently growing engagement, followers, and newly created and improved Characters.

Leaderboards help shine a light on the creators behind great Characters, making it easier for the community to discover new talent and celebrate the people creating it.
